Book Two Is Almost Here. Want to Read It First?

The Foundation Crack is finished. Or almost finished. The draft is done, the chapters are in order, and Margin has survived another investigation. Now I need readers.

If you read The Sweetheart Swindle, you know what this series is about: real scams, a small coastal town, a woman who’s done being the person things happen to, and a tuxedo cat who respects no boundaries. Book Two follows the same formula, except this time the con artist carries a clipboard instead of a dating profile.

Here’s the setup: a late-season storm tears through Agate Reach, and a contractor named Nate Garrett shows up three days later with a clean truck and a reasonable quote. He’s charming. He’s competent. He goes door to door. Margot watches him work Main Street and feels her hands go cold, because she’s seen this architecture before. Not the truck, not the clipboard. The timing.

I’m looking for advance readers. You get the full book in epub or PDF before it goes to Amazon. In return, I’m asking for three things:

First, read it. That’s the main one.

Second, if something doesn’t work, tell me. If a chapter drags, if a character does something that doesn’t track, if you catch a typo, I want to know. This is a working copy, and your feedback shapes the final version. Just email me at ivybaric@AgateReachBooks.com.

Third, when the book goes live on Amazon, if you’re so moved, leave an honest review—even a sentence or two. For a series this young, early reviews are everything.

There’s one more perk: ARC readers get to vote on the cover. We’re deciding between two options and your opinion counts. More on that soon.

If any of that sounds good, sign up at AgateReachBooks.com/arc. You’ll get the book immediately.

Thank you for being here this early. I don’t take it for granted.
